Having a bunch of caffeine-happy interns and rich brats whose daddies bought them their doctorates can be made so much more bearable by having even just a few capable hands around. I'm told this should make me more lenient toward these 'capable hands' when they're having personal issues and can't perform their duties as they usually would. In fact, it is frustrating and makes me less patient, and I would likely terminate them if I thought it would make any sense to do so.
What a ludicrously unproductive day. Some animal rights group decided it would be funny to accuse Shirasugi Pharmaceuticals of using fluffy bunnies or something to test our new vaccines. And by 'accuse' I mean 'deposit a few pipe bombs in the 1st floor employee lounge.' So while the bomb squad cleared the building, and the higher-ups chatted up the news crews, absolutely nothing got done. Honestly, don't these humans people have better things to do? We certainly do.
